THE GREATEST MAN WHO EVER LIVED (REALLY, WHO WAS HE?)
..............continuation
Jesus first century assocaite pondered that question when they saw Jesus miraculously calm a wind whipped sea with a rebuke, they wondered in astonishment : " Who really is this? " Later, on another occasion, Jesus asked his apostles : "who do you say I am? -mark 4:41
If you were asked that question, how would you answer? Was Jesus, in fact, God? Many today say that he was. Yet, his associates never believed that he was God. The apostle Peter's respond to Jesus' question was: "You are the Christ, the son of the living God. " - Matthew 16:16
Jesus never claimed to be God, but He acknowledged that he was the promise Messiah, or Christ. He also said he was "God's Son, " not God. (John 4:25) Yet, the Bible does not say Jesus was a man like any other man. He was a very special person because he was created by God before all other things (colossians 1:15)
Then, about two thousand years ago, God transferred his Son's life to the womb of a woman, and Jesus came to be a human son of God, born in the normal manner through a woman. (Galatians 4:4) when Jesus was developing in the womb and while He was growing up as a boy, He was dependent upon those whom God had selected to be His earthly parent. Eventually Jesus reached manhood and he was granted full remembrance of His previous association with God in Heaven. - John 8:23............ Continue

THE GREATEST MAN WHO EVER LIVED.
Can any man unquestionably be called the greatest man who ever lived? How do you measure a man's greatest? By his military genius? his physical strength? his mental powers?
The historian H. G. Wells said that a man's greatness can be measured by what he leaves to grow, and whether he started others to think along fresh lines with a vigor that persisted after him. Wells, although not claiming to be a Christian, acknowledged "By this test Jesus stands first".
By HIS dynamic teachings and by the way HE lived in harmony with them, JESUS has powerfully affected the lives of people for nearly two thousand years. As one writer aptly expressed it: All the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that ever were built and all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully................. YOU ARE CHOSEN
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to GOD, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9)
Israel behaved like one of the two sons in a parable JESUS told in Matthew 21. GOD said to the people of lsrael "GO Work Today in my Vineyard", And they said " We Will Go Sir", But they didn't. They failed.
So in the fullness of time JESUS came (Gal 4:4). GOD found the people of lsrael disobedient and rejected the old covenant for a new one (Heb 8:7-11). God chose a new people of GOD through his own son JESUS CHRIST who gave himself up as a perfect sacrifice for the redemption of the whole world (Heb 10:12-15). By the covenant of his blood,
all who by faith accept JESUS as SAVIOUR and LORD are called to be GOD people.
If you have accepted JESUS as SAVIOUR and LORD then you are one GOD'S new people called for GOD'S purpose in the world and to receive his blessing.
The new called people are to gives their lives as instruments in achieving GOD'S purpose of reconciling the world unto himself.
As a member of GOD chosen you are no longer to live to please yourself but to please GOD and for the purpose for which he has called you. (1 Corinthians 5:15-18)

YOU ARE CALLED
Text : Matthew 22:2-5
The text of study is part of an exposition Jesus gave about the kingdom. " the kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son ".
Those that were invited refused to come. There were to be special guests at the occasion, sitting, dining, and wining with the king and his son.
The invited chose to go their own farm, and enterprise because they made light of the king's invitation. Meaning, these people considered other things of great value than the king's invitation to the feast.
Life impact
As it was with these, so it is with many people. God has chosen them specially to be part of what He is doing. These people disregarded the invitation and considered the personal endeavor as something than the call. But don't be like such, whatever God has committed to your trust to do is something of great importance to him. Value it, treasure, and don't let go of it, it will bring you into great honour. Be admonished, shalom.
Supplication
Take a brief review of your life. Is there any assignment given you by God that you are not giving enough attention to? Repent now if there is and receive grace from God to be effective in it in Jesus name!!!
God bless you all
